Modern Transport Hub

Thousands of Hulhumale residents celebrated today as the new state-of-the-art ferry terminal opened at Phase 2, offering air-conditioned waiting areas, digital ticketing, and increased ferry frequency throughout the day and night.

The terminal can accommodate up to 800 passengers simultaneously and features accessibility ramps for persons with disabilities, a small food court, and real-time departure boards. The new direct route cuts the commute from 35 minutes to just 20 minutes.

Transport Minister Ibrahim Didi said that two more terminals are planned for outer islands by the end of next year, as part of the government broader connectivity agenda.
