President Announces Major Cabinet Reshuffle, Three New Ministers Appointed
New Leadership for Key Ministries
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih announced today a significant cabinet reshuffle that brings fresh leadership to three critical government ministries. The changes take effect immediately, with the new ministers expected to be sworn in at a ceremony tomorrow morning.
Dr. Aminath Shauna has been appointed as the new Minister of Health, replacing the outgoing minister who tendered his resignation last week citing personal reasons. Dr. Shauna, a respected physician and public health expert, previously served as the Director General of Health Services.
The Ministry of Education will be headed by Hassan Latheef, a veteran educator and former principal of Aminiya School. His appointment comes as the ministry is undertaking a comprehensive curriculum reform program.
