Maldives National University Opens New Engineering Faculty Building
New Era for Higher Education
The Maldives National University (MNU) officially inaugurated its brand new Engineering Faculty building today in a ceremony attended by the Minister of Higher Education and hundreds of students and faculty members.
The six-story building spans over 12,000 square meters and houses cutting-edge laboratories for civil, mechanical, electrical, and computer engineering disciplines. The facility also includes a dedicated research center, innovation hub, and student collaboration spaces.
MNU Vice Chancellor Dr. Mariyam Hussain said this marks a significant milestone for technical education in the Maldives, adding that the university aims to produce 500 engineering graduates annually by 2027.
މިއަދު ބޭއްވި ރަސްމިއްޔާތެއްގައި ވަނީ ހަ ބުރިއަށް ބިނާ ކުރެވިފައިވާ 12،000 އަކަ މީޓަރުގެ ޒަމާނީ ޢިމާރާތް ހުުޅުވައިފައެވެ.
ވައިސް ޗާންސެލަރ ޑރ. މަރިޔަމް ޙުސައިން ވިދާޅުވީ 2027 ވަނަ އަހަރު ހަ 500 ދަރިވަރުން ތަމްރީން ކުރުމަށް ލަނޑުދަނޑި ކަނޑައެޅިފައިވާ ކަމަށެވެ.
